We are announcing an important update to the app certification requirements for app partners in the HubSpot App Marketplace. Effective May 15, 2024, the minimum number of active installs required for achieving app certification will increase from 6 to 60. However, we understand the effort and dedication you have put into your apps. Therefore, we are providing a grace period of 1 year for existing certified apps and apps currently in review to secure 60 installs, ensuring a fair transition.
This change is designed to enhance the quality and credibility of the apps available to our users. By setting a higher threshold for certification, we aim to ensure that only apps providing significant value and excellent user experience are certified.
Starting from May 15, 2024, the minimum number of active installs required for app certification will be increased from 6 to 60. Below are additional details related to this change.
Existing certified apps that do not meet the new requirement of 60 active installs will be granted a one-year remediation period. During this time, developers should focus on increasing their active user base to meet the updated standards. Failure to achieve this by the end of the grace period may result in de-certification.
Certification evaluates several aspects of an app, including:
These comprehensive criteria ensure certified apps deliver a high-quality experience and substantial value to HubSpot users.
This change reflects our ongoing commitment to enhancing the utility and integrity of the HubSpot App Marketplace. We encourage all app developers to review their current install counts and make necessary adjustments to meet the new certification requirements by the specified date.
