HubSpot Developer Events Code of Conduct

Our goal with developer events is to bring together our global community of developers for an uplifting time of networking, sharing, and learning that is beneficial for everyone. We believe that an explicit Code of Conduct is a great way to help us stay on track with this goal by ensuring all participants understand what is expected of them.

This Code of Conduct may be revised at any time by HubSpot at its sole discretion. Your registration for, or attendance at, the HubSpot developer events indicate your agreement to abide by this Code of Conduct.

All attendees, speakers, sponsors, vendors, partners, HubSpot staff, and volunteers at our events are required to adhere to the following Code of Conduct. Event organizers will enforce this code throughout the event. Participants violating these rules may be removed from the events at the sole discretion of HubSpot event organizers and their representatives. Participants asked to stop any harassing behavior are expected to comply immediately.

Our Code of Conduct can be summarized as: Be considerate and respectful in your speech and actions. Below are some examples of what this means.

Be Inclusive

Do not engage in demeaning, discriminatory, or harassing behavior and speech. Be sure that your background or physical surroundings (artwork, wall covering, etc.) are free of any such materials.

Do not attempt to harass or intimidate fellow attendees. The use of obscenities, lewd images or comments/texts, comments about gender, religion, political affiliation, ethnicity, etc. are considered harassment and grounds for dismissal from the event.

Be Thoughtful

Do not intentionally disrupt presentations or interrupt attendees that are speaking or asking a question.

Be respectful of fellow attendees and presenters/staff time. Do not monopolize and/or dominate a presentation by asking multiple questions or offering continuous commentary on an issue specific only to you. Attendees are expected to equitably and effectively participate in these events.

Follow Guidelines

Do not make audio or visual recordings of any presentations, sessions, or other content presented during any portion of these events. Doing so could infringe intellectual property rights of HubSpot as well as those of third parties.
