# List duplicate pairs

> Returns pairs of records identified as potential duplicates by HubSpot's default detection method. Records are scored by similarity across a standard set of properties. Use objectId to narrow results to pairs containing a specific record. To detect duplicates using custom matching criteria, see the custom duplicate rules endpoints.

By default, HubSpot identifies potential duplicates by comparing record property values for the following properties:

Contacts: First name, Last name, Email address, IP country, Phone number, Zip code, and Company name.
Companies: Company domain name, Company name, Country/Region, Phone number, and Industry.
