This program aims to lower barriers for new HubSpot developers by connecting you with experienced mentors. This helps accelerate your learning and integration into the HubSpot ecosystem and beyond, making you a more experienced developer.

The first cohort of the program will run from early August through early November of 2024.

While applications for the inaugural summer/fall 2024 cohort are now closed, you can still join the waiting list for our next mentee cohort launching soon. Simply submit your name and email address here to express your interest. We'll keep you informed about the application process as soon as it reopens.

If you are a developer looking to get career advice, integrate into the HubSpot ecosystem, and/or learn how to solve HubSpot customer problems through code, you're eligible to apply. We ask that you have a minimum of beginner to intermediate programming experience, in front end, back end, or full stack environments. We'll be looking for motivated and engaged individuals, with specific, attainable goals for a 3-month period (we love the SMART goal format), ready to learn and grow. We're especially excited to offer the program to individuals that may not otherwise have access to opportunities like this. You'll need a computer, a place to work, and solid wifi to get the most of this program. If that is an issue for any applicants, please mention this in your application; we may be able to facilitate accommodations. 

NB: For this first cohort, we'll only be accepting a small number of mentees based on the above and on how much our mentors feel able to support you. However, by applying, you'll be the first to hear when the next mentorship cohort launches

You'll meet one-on-one with your mentor over Zoom for one hour a month. In the first session, you'll work together to determine your goals for the program. You'll have access to your mentor during the 3-month cohort via email, and through private, dedicated communities on connect.com.

Additionally, we'll have kickoff events, monthly mentee meetups, and a closing event with both mentors and mentees, all over Zoom.

Our mentors are ready to help you master a range of skills. Depending on your goals and your mentor match, you'll dive into front end and/or back end development, learn about API integration, CRM customization, and/or responsive design on HubSpot. Plus, you'll pick up essential soft skills like effective communication, leadership, problem-solving, and community engagement.

Whether you want to become a full-stack developer on HubSpot, explore new career options, and/or become a trusted leader in the HubSpot Developer Community (and maybe a Mentor yourself!), we've got you covered.

As a mentee, you'll gain: 

• Badges, Certification, and Recognition: Earn a Certificate of Completion that you can share on Social Media, and an exclusive badge which will be displayed on your connect.com profile and throughout the HubSpot Community.

• Continuous Learning: Opportunities to take part in advanced workshops, speaking engagements, and ongoing support from the alumni network.
• Personal Growth: Improve your technical and soft skills, receive career guidance, and explore new opportunities within the HubSpot ecosystem

You should proactively engage with your mentor, complete suggested exercises, communicate effectively, and participate in all program activities, including orientation and check-in sessions. The time commitment as a mentee is anywhere from 5-20 hours a month, depending on the goals you establish with your mentor in your first session.

HubSpot can be a complex platform with a lot to learn. This program is designed to help you navigate these challenges with the guidance of experienced mentors who have successfully built on the HubSpot ecosystem. They'll share their insights and strategies to help you become a confident and skilled developer.

After the program ends, you'll have the opportunity to join an alumni community for ongoing support and networking. We also aim to offer continuous learning opportunities, such as advanced workshops and speaking engagements. And who knows, maybe you'll become a HubSpot Developer Mentor yourself! We'd be delighted to help make that happen.
