Spring Spotlight 2025: New and Improved HubSpot APIs
Since announcing our expanded catalog of public APIs at INBOUND 2024, we’ve been continuously working to create a powerful platform that gives developers and partners access to an easier, faster, and more unified HubSpot. We want to empower our community of builders to solve for our mutual customers’ ever-changing needs, delivering value and meeting them where they’re doing their best work.
Introducing HubSpot’s Newest APIs
New APIs are now available, including the Conversations API that allows you to:
- Add custom channels directly to your HubSpot Help Desk and inbox.
- Connect with customers over existing channels, like email, live chat, and Facebook Messenger.
- Unify your customer communication to create a single source of truth for your team.
- Use Conversation Intelligence to sync data from third-party meeting transcriptions.
For those building ecommerce features, you can now use the Commerce API to:
- Create invoices for customers that can be paid digitally through HubSpot Payments or the Stripe integration.
- Get configured tax rates and apply them to Line Items for Quotes, Invoices and other Commerce tools.
You also have access to new APIs for better security of your account. This is especially important when dealing with sensitive and highly sensitive data in the smart CRM. Now, you can:
- Add custom user permissions to give specific, targeted access to each user in your account.
- Check which users have access to specific CRM records with the Public Permissions API.
Improvements to HubSpot’s Existing APIs
To help you build better apps, existing APIs now have new endpoints and features. These updates include:
- Adding generic endpoints to the Marketing Events API so you can get all marketing event data regardless of external source.
- Allowing the association and disassociation of lists through the Marketing Events API
- Updating the Exports API to allow multiple associated object types and optional features that improve performance.
- Expanding the HubSpot Embed API for use by all app partners.
- Patching the Meetings Engagement API so that the hs_timestamp will default to the start time of the meeting if it’s empty.
- Adding a batch endpoint for custom event creation data and allowing for multi-value enumerations.
If you use the public CRM API to integrate your data seamlessly between your HubSpot accounts and other systems, make sure to check this blog post for all the latest features and improvements.
