Following the Node.js 20 end-of-life on April 30, 2026, we are deprecating Node.js 20 from the HubSpot developer CLI starting on January 8, 2027.
What's Changing
We are ending support for Node.js 20 across the HubSpot developer CLI. Going forward, the developer CLI will require Node.js v22 or higher to run.
While Node.js is largely backward compatible, compatibility is not guaranteed. Upgrading your Node version will ensure your developer tools remain secure and compatible with future updates.
Who is impacted?
CLI Users: Running older versions of the HubSpot CLI with Node.js 20 may result in compatibility issues or breaking changes. You can upgrade to the latest version of the developer CLI at any time by running: npm i -g @hubspot/cli@latest.
GitHub Action Users: If you rely on the HubSpot GitHub Action, you will need to update to the latest action version once released to support Node.js 22+.
When is it happening?
This change goes into effect on January 8, 2027.
