Legacy CTA Sunset Timeline and Scope Update

Revised Sunset Start: Q4 2024

After careful consideration and valuable feedback from our developer community, we are adjusting the timeline and scope of the previously announced sunset of Legacy CTAs (Call-To-Action). A new team has taken ownership of the CTA functionality within HubSpot, prompting a reassessment of our sunset strategy.

Revised timeline

  • Sunset Commencement: No earlier than Q4 of 2024. We will provide a more detailed timeline in the coming weeks to ensure our developers and customers have ample time to prepare for this transition.

Revised scope

  • Smart CTAs and A/B Testing: In response to customer feedback, we're prioritizing the development of Smart CTAs, A/B testing for CTAs, and addressing other identified gaps before proceeding with the sunset.
  • Assets Sunsetting: We are revisiting our approach to sunsetting Legacy CTA assets. Specific details regarding the scope of asset sunsetting will be shared in the upcoming weeks, focusing on providing more flexibility and support during the transition.

Immediate actions

While we adjust our timeline and scope, we strongly encourage our users to begin migrating their Legacy CTA assets sooner rather than later. Initiating the migration process early will help avoid tight deadlines and ensure a smoother transition to the new CTA functionalities.
