Update for Legacy CTA Editor Sunset

We have an essential update on the scope and timeline of a previously announced Legacy CTA sunset. Starting September 1st, 2025, all new CTAs must be created using the new CTA editor. Existing Legacy CTAs that have already been created will continue to be maintained and capture analytics and can be edited using the legacy CTA editor. See below the updated information and timeline for this existing sunset.

What's changing?

Updated Timeline and Details

Q1 2025: Feature Parity Functionality

  • Key features, including A/B testing and Smart CTAs, reached full feature parity in the new CTA editor.

September 1, 2025: Legacy Editor Access Change

  • HubSpot will start removing access to the Legacy Editor to create new CTAs.
  • Existing Legacy CTAs will remain operational, allowing analytics tracking and editing via the Legacy Editor.

November 30, 2025: Complete Transition to New CTA Editor

  • New CTAs can only be created using the new editor.
  • Existing Legacy CTAs will remain operational, allowing analytics tracking and editing via the Legacy Editor.

Combining the CTA editors into a single tool for creating reusable embedded and pop-up marketing assets will optimize visitor engagement and conversion processes.

When is it happening?

By November 30, 2025, the transition to the new CTA editor will be complete. After this date, Legacy CTAs will still work and can be managed as before, but you will no longer be able to create new ones using the Legacy Editor.
