Enhanced Developer Tools & Resources
Ship faster on HubSpot. Modern API infrastructure, versioned documentation, and AI tools to connect HubSpot with wherever customers work.
Whether you're building an integration for the Marketplace or customizing the CRM, these tools will enable you to build more reliably and with greater technical precision. From our purpose-built SDKs to our versioned APIs, we're standardizing a more predictable and high-quality experience for the way you build on the HubSpot Developer Platform.

LIVE
Versioning for APIs & Docs
Date-based Versioned APIs
The first date-based API version, 2026-03, is now available. Breaking changes for supported APIs happen twice a year (March and September), each version is supported for 18 months, and immutable API versions mean your integrations won't break unexpectedly within a support window, so you can migrate to newer versions on your own timeline.
Versioned Developer Documentation
As part of our commitment to quality and platform stability, we’re introducing versioned docs for both our APIs and Developer Platform and will use a YYYY-MM format to clearly indicate the year and month they went live.

BETA
Secure, Self-Service Integrations with Service Keys
Need to connect your HubSpot account to third-party tools? Now, admins you can create Service Keys directly in HubSpot without a developer. Service Keys provide a simplified authentication solution for customers who need API access without the complexity of full app development. This feature replaces "legacy private apps" by rebuilding them on the modern Developer Platform infrastructure.
Service Keys provide a simplified, secure way to connect HubSpot to external tools, allowing you to:
- Connect to third-party tools like Tableau, Power BI, and data warehouses in minutes
- Maintain secure, scoped access to only the data your integrations need
- Keep integrations running smoothly with keys that don't expire when employees leave
- Stay in control with built-in activity logging and easy key rotation

BETA
Searchable CRM Object Definition Docs
Now in beta for Contacts, Companies, Deals, and Tickets, the developer docs include a corresponding “Object Definition” page so you can easily find and define object properties. Check out an example for the Contacts Object here.
Get a list of primary and secondary display properties for each object, search for object properties quickly to see their data type and name, and filter through properties to find the specific one you need.
AI-Assisted Development
Build HubSpot apps faster with AI coding tools like Cursor, Claude Code, and Codex. Connect HubSpot data to third-party AI tools your customers love.
HubSpot MCP Server (remote)
Unlock HubSpot data with a secure connection through the HubSpot MCP Server. With the hosted endpoint (mcp.hubspot.com), you can connect any compatible MCP client to create custom workflows and integrations with read and write access to CRM objects. Manage these connections via MCP Auth Apps (Beta) in the Developer Platform.
Developer MCP Server (local)
The Developer MCP Server gives you the power to create HubSpot apps using natural language. Download it through your CLI and start chatting with it in your preferred AI-powered code editor, like Claude Code, Cursor, and Codex.
