Phase 1 of 2 for CRM Property Validation on Forms

We are enhancing the data quality in your CRM by introducing additional property validations to HubSpot form fields.

This update applies to:

  • HubSpot forms on CMS-created web or landing pages.
  • HubSpot forms using embed code on third-party web pages (e.g., WordPress sites).
  • Standalone HubSpot form shares.

What's changing?

CRM property validation will be implemented in two phases:

  • Phase 1: Introduction of a live field validation service. As visitors input data into form fields, the information will be verified in real-time against the CRM's established property validations. Developers will notice some of our built in error messages have been merged to be more generic. This does not affect any translation overrides or integrations and there will be no noticeable difference for visitors submitting a form.
  • Phase 2: Integration of CRM property validation with the live field validation service. Incorrect data entries that do not meet the established criteria will prevent form submission, similar to existing email field validations.

Implementation Schedule

  • Phase 1: Monday, April 22, 2024
  • Phase 2: To be announced, with details provided in a subsequent changelog update.

Impact on Users

During Phase 1, there will be no noticeable change in how forms operate. You can; however, disable this new validation feature temporarily by going to Settings > Tools > Marketing > Forms > Submission Settings and toggling the Enable live validation of form fields option.
